Worth singing about

Filed under: Uncategorized — andykiff @ 7:54 pm

Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying, Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,

It’s good to know in advance what people sing about in Heaven, so I can start practising on Earth.  Of all the many things that could be sung about Jesus I love this.  It’s a song of the new covenant, of the perfect Lamb who was the final sacrifice, who paid the ransom to set me free from my captors, sin and death.  It declares the moment the gates of Heaven were flung open for anyone who believes, regardless of birth and background.  Even me.  That’s something I could happily sing about for all eternity.
