Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

And here’s the problem, the stumbling block.  People want to reason everything out, make sense of it all.  The very idea of faith causes offence to many.  I think it’s because it’s an admission that we’re smaller than we’d like to think and that we really can’t know and prove everything.  It’s not a suspension of reason or logic, it’s an admission that we’ve reached their boundaries and still haven’t found true life or purpose.  Faith is stepping over that boundary and saying, “Okay, this isn’t working my way.  I’m believing in You from now on.”

Lord increase my faith.  I’ve never found You lacking – give me a greater understanding of You and the plans You have for me.
