Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
When someone is declared not guilty, they can’t be sent to prison. They walk out of court free. When You declare someone not guilty, there’s no punishment due. It’s quite simple – I accept Jesus and I’m forgiven, set free. Why then do I live like I’m guilty? I suppose it’s because I am guilty of lots of wrongs but You choose to declare me innocent. I need to learn to accept Your word above my own. If you say I’m not condemned then I need to learn to accept that and not beat myself up when I mess up.
Thank You Lord that You treat me according to Your mercy, not according to what I deserve.
